These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Kay's Records ("the App"), a mobile simulation game developed by Kay ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Kay's Records is a simulation game in which users read the real-life diary entries of the developer, Kay. The game features illustrations based on Kay's actual home and daily routines. Users can explore rooms, watch Kay and El's daily life unfold in real time, fast-forward using in-game currency (Sweet Potato Energy), and unlock diary entries at specific moments. Users may also write their own personal diary entries, which are stored privately and can be revisited when the game timeline reaches the moment they were written.
You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
You may sign in using Google, Apple, or play as a guest. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Guest accounts are stored locally on your device and cannot be recovered if lost. We are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from device changes, app reinstallation, or failure to link a guest account to a sign-in method.
Sweet Potato Energy is the in-game currency used to fast-forward game time. Sweet Potato Energy can be earned by watching rewarded advertisements or harvested every 4 hours within the App. In-app purchases may be offered in future updates. All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or the policies of the platform (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) through which the purchase was made.
The App displays rewarded advertisements provided by Google AdMob. By using the App, you acknowledge that advertisements are part of the App experience. Ad availability and content are managed by third-party ad networks and are not controlled by the Developer.
The diary entries, illustrations, character designs (including the characters "Kay" and "El"), and UI elements in the App are original works created by the Developer and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. The name "Kay's Records" is a trademark of the Developer, registered in the Republic of Korea. Some music and sound effects used in the App are licensed from third-party creators and remain the property of their respective owners. The diary entries are personal writings of the Developer and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used outside of the App without prior written permission.

You are solely responsible for any content you create using the personal diary feature. While your diary entries are private and not visible to other users, you agree not to use this feature to store illegal content.
The App provides a personal diary feature that allows you to write one diary entry per day (title up to 50 characters, body up to 500 characters). By using this feature, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
The Developer assumes no liability for any loss, damage, or consequence arising from the content you enter in your diary entries, including any sensitive personal information you voluntarily provide.
The diary entries in the App are based on the Developer's real-life experiences and personal reflections. The content is provided for entertainment purposes. Views, opinions, and experiences expressed in the diaries are personal to the Developer and do not constitute professional advice of any kind.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time without prior notice. We may release updates that add new diary content, features, or in-app purchase options. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of any changes.
In the event that the App is permanently discontinued, we will provide at least 30 days' notice (via the App or email, where available) and offer users the opportunity to delete their accounts and data before the service is terminated. After the notice period, all remaining user data will be permanently deleted from our servers.
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including loss of game progress or data.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
